Shobhit Singhal, Chief of Transport Officer Gojek, opened the GoCorp ConnecTalks Forum in Jakarta (21/9). Gojek remains committed to supporting the digitalization of business expense management in Indonesia through GoCorp, fostering efficient company operations and sustainable productivity. With over 60% of Gojek users being corporate employees, GoCorp's potential is substantial.

In a resounding affirmation of its dedication to simplifying business operations, Gojek's on-demand service business unit, GoTo Group, has unveiled its groundbreaking The GoCorp Business Report 2023, "A Closer Look 2023: Mastering Business Expense Management in Indonesia." The report presents crucial insights for companies seeking to bolster their productivity by digitizing business expense management processes.

According to the report, an astonishing 75% of Indonesian businesses still rely on archaic, manual systems for handling expense reimbursements, a stark indicator of the pressing need for modernization in this vital aspect of corporate operations. The report also highlights that employees face significant challenges when navigating the reimbursement process for their daily business expenses.

Shobhit Singhal, Chief of Transport Officer at Gojek, emphasized the company's unwavering commitment to enhancing the lives of individual customers and businesses through the GoCorp service. He noted that even companies with app-based or online systems must contend with employees printing and collecting proof of allowance usage, followed by labor-intensive manual reporting processes.

Singhal further stressed the critical role of integrated software or platforms in streamlining business expense management processes. The report findings echo this sentiment, revealing that companies embracing end-to-end technology solutions experience efficiency improvements, simplifying time-consuming procedures, and enhanced visibility.

Over the past two years, over 90% of GoCorp client companies have reported increased efficiency in terms of time and cost in managing business expenses. Singhal attributed this success to GoCorp's seamless integration with the wider Gojek ecosystem, making it user-friendly and accessible for employees. This integration allows employees to utilize GoCorp for transportation, goods delivery, and food orders, much like the regular Gojek services.

One prominent example of a satisfied GoCorp user is Avoskin, a local skincare producer in Indonesia. Annisa Amalia Ramadhani, Head of People and Culture at Avoskin, lauded GoCorp for its role in supporting employee productivity as the company expands across various regions. She noted that Avoskin's employees, who are already accustomed to using Gojek, found the transition to GoCorp effortless, resulting in significant gains in time, process efficiency, and cost reduction.

Launched in 2021, GoCorp has emerged as Gojek's technological solution for businesses looking to streamline expense management for employee operational activities, including transportation, meals, and goods delivery. Offering real-time visibility of expenditures and service usage, GoCorp's billing structure is tailored to eliminate maintenance charges and minimize usage deposits. This winning combination has led to a threefold increase in the adoption of GoCorp solutions among Indonesian companies over the past year.

With more than 60% of Gojek users being corporate employees, the potential for GoCorp's future growth is staggering. Gojek's strategy to expand GoTo's profitability through the introduction of new products aligns seamlessly with GoCorp's mission to facilitate the digitalization of business expense management in Indonesia. This, in turn, promises to foster increased efficiency and sustainable productivity for companies.

The "A Closer Look 2023: Mastering Business Expense Management in Indonesia" report was meticulously conducted, encompassing research on companies at various levels, both those utilizing GoCorp and those who have not yet adopted it. The study, conducted in July and August 2023, combined quantitative online surveys from YouGov and Jakpat with qualitative interviews conducted by Gojek. The comprehensive research involved 400 companies and 313 employees across 100 Indonesian cities, utilizing simple random sampling with a 5% margin of error and a 95% confidence level.
