Last week, we supported Gojek, the on-demand service unit of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk ("GoTo Group," IDX: GOTO), in seizing the momentum of Indonesia's Independence Day to launch the #PastiAdaJalan, Semangat Indonesia campaign.

This initiative beckons Indonesians to celebrate with Gojek as the ultimate everyday solution, making life easier through budget-friendly options in transportation and food delivery.

Addressing the press at the Joang '45 Building, Catherine Hindra Sutjahyo, President of Gojek's On-Demand Services Unit within GoTo Group, emphasized, "The 'Hemat' service, a Gojek innovation, is our special offering to Indonesians on the 78th anniversary of our nation's independence. This innovation is a response to the community's need for more economical service choices. It aligns with Gojek's mission to reach a wider consumer base while boosting income opportunities for partners."

Catherine further highlighted the 'Hemat' solution's business impact, projecting it to enhance Gojek's market share due to its affordability. In Q1 2023, Gojek reported a healthy 12% growth in gross revenue compared to the previous year.

The 'Hemat' Gojek innovation offers users the GoFood 'Hemat' Mode, guaranteeing budget-friendly delivery fees (Rp3,000 and Rp5,000, location-dependent) for nearby restaurant orders, independent of discounts, including free Wednesday deliveries. Users can also opt for cost-effective travel via GoCar 'Hemat'.

Odo Manuhutu, Deputy for Tourism and Creative Economy at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Marves), applauded Gojek's role as a homegrown contributor to Indonesia's progress. “This Gojek initiative aligns with the Proud of Indonesian-Made National Movement campaign and will accelerate economic recovery, benefiting driver partners and micro, small, and medium enterprises. I encourage Indonesians and Gojek consumers to embrace locally-made products and continue our journey as national champions.”

As part of the #PastiAdaJalan, Semangat Indonesia campaign, Gojek has unveiled a sweepstakes program, running from August 7 to October 1, 2023. Every transaction involving Gojek services grants customers a sweepstakes ticket for a chance to win prizes, including a Toyota Innova Zenix G Hybrid CVT 2023. Details are available on gojek.com and the app.

In the spirit of Indonesia's 78th Independence Day, Gojek announced winners of the #PastiAdaJalan video competition on August 17, 2023. Thousands of partners shared their stories of self-reliance, winning motorcycles, cash, and gadgets.

Guided by the #PastiAdaJalan, Semangat Indonesia spirit, Gojek continues to introduce solutions, inviting all to support local innovation and entrepreneurs, creating widespread benefits.
