Gojek, the on-demand service from the GoTo Group, has announced the achievement of its exclusive program, Gojek Swadaya. The program is aimed at reducing the operational burden of Gojek driver partners and their families. Since its launch in 2016, Gojek Swadaya has been utilized by more than 450,000 driver partners per month, helping them save up to 15% on their operational costs.
Head of Region and External Affairs at Gojek, Gede Manggala, welcomed the consistency of the Gojek Swadaya program as it enters its 7th year. “Along with Gojek's three strategies in 2023 to continue to be the leading on-demand service from the GoTo Group, Gojek Swadaya is an integral part of a long-term strategy to support driver partners. Together with Gojek Swadaya, driver partners get many benefits for themselves and their families."
This month, Gojek has launched the Swadaya Mudik program, a program that prepares driver partners for their homecoming journey during Ramadan, as well as bazaars selling daily necessities. In addition, Gojek has facilitated a Ramadan social service program, an independent initiative by more than 300 driver partner communities in 25 cities and regencies throughout Indonesia. These various programs are part of the Gojek and driver partner's kindness chain to #CompleteRamadan for the people of Indonesia.
During the seven years of Gojek Swadaya, several interesting facts have emerged, including:
According to Gede, there are several factors behind the success of the program. “Gojek Swadaya is very accessible, simply through the feature in the Gojek driver partner application, GoPartner. To ensure that the program is on target, every program involves two-way discussions to adjust to the needs of driver partners in each region, through communication channels such as Kopdar (offline meetups)."
The comprehensive and useful impact of Gojek Swadaya is also the result of collaboration between Gojek and Swadaya Partners, who share the same vision of welfare for Gojek driver partners. Several companies have become Swadaya Partners, including telecommunications companies, automotive dealers, product providers, motor vehicle workshops and supporting services, banks and insurance, retailers, and affordable housing providers.
As a Communication Consultant of Gojek from the beginning, Artemis Indonesia takes great pride in being a part of the Gojek Swadaya program and witnessing the numerous benefits it has provided to driver partners, their families, Swadaya partners and the entire Gojek ecosystem.
