In a momentous event for both the city of Pekalongan and McDonald's Indonesia, early this month the renowned fast-food brand under PT Rekso Nasional Food, celebrated the grand opening of its 300th restaurant in Pekalongan, a city known as the most important port city in Central Java and is famous for its batik. This achievement marks a significant milestone, further solidifying McDonald's presence in Indonesia for over three decades.

McDonald's Pekalongan, situated at Jl. Urip Sumoharjo No. 58, made its debut on September 11, 2023, becoming the first McDonald's restaurant to grace the batik-rich city. The restaurant boasts a unique design concept adorned with Pekalongan's distinctive batik motifs, offering a blend of modern convenience and local cultural charm.

"McDonald's Indonesia has been an integral part of the Indonesian and Indonesian family experience for over three decades. As a leading fast-food restaurant, we aim to get closer to our customers and delight them with a diverse menu that not only promises deliciousness but also quality. The opening of our 300th restaurant is a testament to our commitment to providing the best service for the satisfaction of our customers," stated Meta Rostiawati, Associate Director of Communications at McDonald's Indonesia.

In line with this commitment, McDonald's Indonesia continues to make positive contributions to the surrounding community. Under the #McDBerbagi (McDShares) program, McDonald's Indonesia had the opportunity to spread happiness by providing meal packages to 300 children in orphanages in Pekalongan. This gesture serves as a token of appreciation for the support the community has given, enabling McDonald's to reach this remarkable milestone of opening its 300th restaurant in Indonesia.

But that's not all; McDonald's Indonesia also donated 300 trash bins to the residents of Kelurahan Podosugih in Pekalongan, showing support for the community's commitment to creating a clean and comfortable environment. The symbolic handover of these 300 trash bins took place at the McDonald's Pekalongan restaurant and was received by Mr. Paryono, the Head of Kelurahan Podosugih.

Furthermore, the presence of McDonald's in Pekalongan is expected to boost the city's economic activity by creating new job opportunities for locals, both as restaurant employees and vendor partners to meet the operational needs of the restaurant. "McDonald's Indonesia is committed to making a positive impact wherever our restaurants stand. We are confident that McDonald's Pekalongan will become the preferred dining choice for the community and contribute positively to the economic development of Pekalongan City," Meta added.

Occupying a spacious 1930 square meters of land, McDonald's Pekalongan operates 24/7 and offers various key facilities for the convenience of customers enjoying meals with their families and loved ones. These amenities include a Party Room, Playland (children's play area), prayer room, Drive-Thru, free Wi-Fi access, and Self-Ordering Kiosks (SOK) to simplify the ordering process for customers.

McDonald's Indonesia's commitment to providing quality food and making a positive impact on local communities is evident in the opening of its 300th restaurant in Pekalongan, a city that holds a special place in the heart of Indonesia's cultural heritage.
