Muhammad Irwan Setyawan, Head of Public Policy and Government Relation at VIDA, presented the strategic position of VIDA's digital identity in the digital transformation of BPR/BPRS and LKM/LKMS at the Indonesia Microfinance Expert Association (IMFEA) National Conference in Semarang (11/3). Through the digital transformation of BPR and other microfinance institutions, VIDA is optimistic that it can help maximize the potential of MSME financing in Indonesia.

Today, Artemis assisted PT Indonesia Digital Identity (VIDA) in announcing their commitment to support various regional Rural Banks (BPR) by providing cutting-edge digital identity services such as certified electronic signatures and online identity verification. Not only convenient, secure, and easy, VIDA's digital identity services are integrated with the OpenBank+ system, which is known for actively driving digital transformation in microfinance institutions such as BPR/BPRS in various regions.

The Financial Services Authority (OJK) noted the development of BPR credit worth Rp 127.9 trillion as of November 2022 and continued to grow from the previous year, which was Rp 115.6 trillion. Along with OJK and the government's agenda to encourage a 90% financial inclusion rate by 2024, the contribution of BPR/BPRS needs to continue to be driven, one of which is through digital transformation. Through this transformation, banking transactions through digital channels (mobile apps and the internet), including the adoption of digital identity services, are also encouraged to improve the customer experience for customers.

Managing Director of VIDA, Adrian Anwar, said that microfinance institutions such as BPR play a significant role as one of the sources of funding for MSMEs, especially in rural areas. "We believe that with digitization, in the future BPR can continue to grow and compete to provide financial services that are not only easily accessible but also guaranteed in terms of security," said Adrian in a press release on Monday (20/3).

Adrian added that with VIDA, people who want to apply for BPR funding can directly register online anywhere and anytime because the identity verification process and contract signature with the bank are done digitally and legally.

VIDA continues to innovate and collaborate in providing inclusive digital financial services for MSMEs, especially in rural areas. Through the integration of VIDA technology and OpenBank+ owned by Mitra Jasa Lima since 2022, VIDA supports improving BPR service quality and acceleration throughout Indonesia, which is an OpenBank+ partner, from account opening to other financial transactions to be done entirely digitally.

Artemis is very proud to be involved in helping Vida in Empowering and Financing Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), which is one of the priorities of the Indonesian government to achieve the 2024 financial inclusion target.
