
In 2021, Artemis undertook the task of revitalizing the communications for state-owned fertilizer producer Pupuk Kaltim (PKT). While PKT plays a critical role in ensuring national food security, its narrative had previously resonated with a relatively limited audience.
Our corporate communications support helped PKT lead conversations around the green transformation of the fertilizer and petrochemical industries, while also highlighting PKT's pivotal role in enhancing the nation’s agricultural productivity and food security.
A Public Relations approach rooted in grassroots engagement
As the saying goes, “A nation that cannot feed itself cannot defend itself.”
As a state-owned fertilizer producer, PKT is central to this mission. To strengthen its impact, the company launched the Agrosolution Program, a comprehensive farming ecosystem designed to empower farmers, enhance productivity, and promote modern agricultural practices.
However, encouraging adoption among farmers required building trust and relevance at the grassroots level. To address this, we focused on credibility-building initiatives through sustained media engagement, including a media briefing attended by national and regional journalists alongside farmers. As a result of these sustained efforts, over 100,000 farmers joined the initiative in 2023.
