Humanizing the narrative of a state-owned company with Pupuk Kaltim

In 2021, Artemis undertook the task of revitalizing the communications for state-owned fertilizer producer Pupuk Kaltim (PKT). While PKT plays a critical role in ensuring national food security, its narrative had previously resonated with a relatively limited audience. &nbsp;Our corporate communications support helped PKT lead conversations around the green transformation of the fertilizer and petrochemical industries, while also highlighting PKT's pivotal role in enhancing the nation’s agricultural productivity and food security.&nbsp;A Public Relations approach rooted in grassroots engagement&nbsp;As the saying goes, “A nation that cannot feed itself cannot defend itself.” &nbsp;As a state-owned fertilizer producer, PKT is central to this mission. To strengthen its impact, the company launched the Agrosolution Program, a comprehensive farming ecosystem designed to empower farmers, enhance productivity, and promote modern agricultural practices. &nbsp;However, encouraging adoption among farmers required building trust and relevance at the grassroots level. To address this, we focused on credibility-building initiatives through sustained media engagement, including a media briefing attended by national and regional journalists alongside farmers. As a result of these sustained efforts, over 100,000 farmers joined the initiative in 2023.

Gojek’s ever-evolving business with 360-degree communication strategy

Our first encounter with Gojek took place in 2015 at the company’s former humble oﬃce in Kemang, South Jakarta. Back then, we worked hand-in-hand with three staﬀ members of Gojek, including the cofounder and former CEO Nadiem Makarim. Together, we accomplished many milestones through various corporate communications initiatives, issue management strategies and public aﬀairs activities.Artemis is also proud to have been part of Gojek’s other milestones, including its expansion to other cities in Indonesia and overseas in Vietnam and Thailand, the GoTo IPO, and more.Presenting the unsung heroes through Gojek’s storiesWith Gojek, we've shared experiences, grown together, and crafted new stories. However, 'Keeping up with Gojek's Stories' stands out among our cherished initiatives.Through our partnership, we've learned that technology can do more than just removing daily frictions; it can empower ordinary people. We've heard inspiring stories of Gojek drivers who have profoundly impacted countless lives by embracing change and taking chances. With the Gojek app now essential in their daily lives, they have more time to contribute to society. One such driver is Endang Irawan, formerly an electrical mechanic from Bogor, who courageously transitioned to become a Gojek driver. His decision empowered him to support 126 students at an Islamic boarding school through his self-funded eﬀorts.Inspired by these drivers, we sourced their stories directly from the road and shared them with the media. Our goal was straightforward: to ensure these unsung heroes receive the recognition they deserve. Our eﬀorts to spotlight Gojek drivers extend beyond storytelling; they reshape public perceptions and shine a light on Gojek's dedication to empowering society through technology.

Since 2023, Artemis has been trusted to assist BCA with its corporate and social responsibility communications.&nbsp;Reaffirming BCA’s commitment to society through #BuktiBaktiBCA&nbsp;In 2023, with the support of Artemis, BCA elevated its Bakti BCA CSR communications into a more cohesive and unified narrative, designed to better showcase the breadth and depth of its initiatives and their tangible impact.Building on years of CSR efforts, BCA launched the #BuktiBaktiBCA campaign. From the outset, Artemis played a key role in crafting the narrative, identifying the right ambassador, and developing the overarching PR strategy.As part of the campaign, Artemis regularly produced press releases to highlight every milestone of Bakti BCA. We developed impact-driven narratives showcasing real contributions to the public, engaged &nbsp;national and regional media, and organized press conferences.The #BuktiBaktiBCA campaign embodies BCA's steadfast commitment to sustainability and highlights the importance of collaboration in driving lasting change in Indonesia across education, health, culture, MSMEs, and beyond.

Artemis supported Judydoll’s entry into Indonesia through strategic PR initiatives, media education, and brand launch activities that introduced the C-beauty brand’s future-facing products to local audiences and reshaped perceptions of Chinese beauty brands.

Introducing Judydoll’s Future-Facing C-Beauty Products to Indonesia | Artemis PR

Judydoll, a leading Chinese makeup brand and the number one in sales volume in 2023, entered the Indonesian market in early 2024. Artemis supported the launch through strategic planning and execution of integrated PR activities to introduce the brand to local audiences.&nbsp;Educating the media on the C-beauty industry&nbsp;Understanding local context is crucial when introducing a foreign brand. Before the launch, we identified a prevailing perception that C-beauty brands were primarily positioned as budget-friendly alternatives to established Western, Japanese, or Korean beauty labels.To address this, we hosted an intimate media luncheon designed to educate journalists about JOY Group, the parent company of Judydoll, and its portfolio of future-facing products. The initiative aimed to reshape perceptions and emphasize the brand's distinct qualities. This was followed by a brand-led press launch at one of Indonesia's largest beauty events, JxB, further strengthening visibility and market entry impact.
