Ramadan is a month of spirituality, reflection, and community. Muslims all around the world observe Ramadan as a time for self-improvement, increased devotion to God, and generosity towards others. During this holy month, Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset, abstaining from food, drink, and other physical needs. However, Ramadan is not just about refraining from worldly pleasures, but also about giving back to the community and spreading kindness and love.This past week, we had the opportunity to participate in a charity event for orphans and widows in our local community. It was a beautiful experience to come together with our neighbors and coworkers and share in the joy of giving. We all worked together to provide support and assistance to those who are most in need.Charitable giving is an integral part of Ramadan, and it serves as a reminder of our duty to help those who are less fortunate. The Quran emphasizes the importance of charity, stating that "those who give in charity, men and women, and lend to God a goodly loan, it shall be increased manifold, and theirs shall be an honorable good reward." (Quran 57:18).Ramadan is not just about fasting, but also about reconnecting with our community and strengthening our relationships with others. The charity event we participated in allowed us to do just that. It was a time for us to come together, share in our blessings, and help those in need.In the end, the joy and satisfaction that comes from giving back to our community far outweighs any physical discomfort we may experience during our fast. Ramadan reminds us to be grateful for what we have and to be generous with what we can give. Let us continue to spread love, kindness, and generosity throughout this holy month and beyond.

BCA's Desa Binaan: Creative Local Tourism Promotion

Desa Binaan BCA Perkampungan Adat Nagari Sijunjung has recently been nominated as one of Indonesia’s 75 Best Tourism Villages at the <a href="https://jadesta.kemenparekraf.go.id/#:~:text=Anugerah%20Desa%20Wisata%20Indonesia%20(ADWI,lebih%20dikenal%20oleh%20kalangan%20luas.">Anugerah Desa Wisata Indonesia (ADWI) 2023</a>. Out of 4,573 tourism villages that underwent a strict selection process, Nagari Sijunjung Traditional Village has emerged as a potential economic driver for the community in Nagari Sijunjung.With its vast experience in developing tourism villages in Indonesia, BCA believes that this achievement can create tourism appeal in Padang and increase the world's awareness of the uniqueness of Minangkabau culture.
